Founded in 1998 by Alex Church (Chief Technology Officer) and Mark Raeburn (Chief Executive), we support businesses and organisations to meet ever-evolving information security challenges and deal with cyber threats.

Edinburgh is a focal point for both traditional and disruptive financial services and digital media organisations that need to protect sensitive and valuable customer data and are a prime target for cyber criminals.

We work with a wide range of organisations of different types and sizes, across a number of different sectors, including blue chip companies and government organisations.

Why Edinburgh?

When looking to establish a new office in Scotland, Edinburgh was the obvious choice. Edinburgh is a focal point for both traditional and disruptive financial services and digital media organisations that need to protect sensitive and valuable customer data and are a prime target for cyber criminals.

By basing ourselves in Edinburgh, we are able to better serve these companies and react immediately to cyber attacks to protect their assets. Edinburgh‘s first class transport links also make it the ideal place to make our services available to all of Scotland.

To add to this, the city is a lively and vibrant place to live. This makes it easy to retain the high percentage of graduates and professionals in the digital sector already based in Edinburgh, as well as attract the new talent we need.

What jobs will be created?

We have the one office so far – with six employees – and are currently recruiting for two more. We expect to continue our expansion and double our workforce by the end of 2018. We firmly believe in the philosophy of developing local talent and intend to create the best graduate program for penetration testing in Scotland. We have begun to build close links with universities to help us achieve this. We look forward to harnessing this local talent and helping to strengthen Scotland’s global position in cyber security.

Currently, many Scottish infosecurity professionals move south or go abroad to advance their careers. We want to provide a base for those who want to practice their expertise in Scotland and by bringing this talent back to Scotland, we can ensure our clients are receiving the best possible service.

What's the vision for your business?

Simply put, our vision is to become the biggest information security consultancy in Scotland.

To achieve this, we must continue our strong links with financial services and digital media, but will also embrace other sectors such as oil & gas.

All organisations are a target for cyber attackers, so no one is without need for security. We are confident we can be the go-to consultancy for all types of Scottish-based companies.
