Your business in brief?
Loch Employment Law (LEL) was established in 2007 by Pam Loch, a dual qualified Scots and English Employment Lawyer. Since then we have become an award-winning business which has grown steadily, employing more than 20 staff. We operate from offices in Tunbridge Wells, London, Brighton and now the Scottish Capital.

What makes Loch Employment Law unique in the market place is that, as part of the Loch Associates Group, which incorporates HR Advise Me, Loch Health and Loch Mediation, we offer a fully integrated employment and human resources service to all our clients, from multinationals to small and medium enterprises.
What makes Edinburgh such an attractive market for you?
Edinburgh is a thriving, dynamic city where accredited employment law specialist and resident partner Chris Phillips has practised for over 20 years.
The opportunity to launch Loch Employment Law earlier this year presented an ideal solution for many of Chris’s existing clients, as well as opening up a new market for the already proven companies in Loch Associates Group.
What presence will you have here?
Chris is our resident employment law partner and was joined this month by another experienced employment lawyer at our city centre office in Hill Street. We are currently recruiting for support staff and will continue to grow the business over the next few years. Our motto is ‘People are our business’, so choosing the right people to work with our clients is vital. Loch Employment Law is already working with trusted local human resources professionals to support clients grappling with everything from recruitment and training to absence and performance management and policy development.
What's the wider vision?
Our vision is to grow and to enhance the suite of products and services we have for our Scottish clients now and in the future. We want to provide top notch legal expertise through highly focused commercial – and above all, pragmatic – guidance. Coupling that with tenacious advocacy, when required, and training to help clients manage any risk as proactively as possible. We want to continue to achieve excellent client service by combining our legal expertise with seamless support across human resources and occupational health.
