Airport breaks million passenger mark in March

Edinburgh Airport hit its first ever 'million passenger March' last month after a double-digit rise in traffic, according to figures out today.

A total of just over 1.1 million people used the terminal, an increase of 14.8% on the same month last year. Domestic traffic rose by 18.2% and international by 12.5%.

The million passenger milestone for March came six years after the airport achieved its first ever million passenger month in July.

Particularly popular destinations in March included Madrid, Athens, Lisbon, Gdansk, Alicante and New York City...
