Apex Hotels plans £12m refurbishment programme

Apex Hotels has revealed it is investing £12m in refurbishment works across its four-star portfolio – with work on some properties already under way.

Apex’s planned programme of refurbishment will mean improvements to three of its Edinburgh Hotels – Grassmarket, Haymarket and Waterloo Place. Work is already under way at Apex Grassmarket Hotel, with conference and events facilities being upgraded.

Angela Vickers, Chief Executive Officer, Apex Hotels Limited said: "Carrying out an additional £12 million of refurbishment work on our existing properties over the next year goes even further in terms of improving facilities for our guests – and ensuring they receive the warmer welcome that Apex Hotels is known for."

Just last month, Apex Hotels reported another consecutive year of strong growth for 2016-17, with a six per cent rise in turnover – up to £65m from £61.3m the previous year.
