Former RBS headquarters to be redeveloped as serviced apartments

Property developer Chris Stewart's Lateral City Apartments said redevelopment will deliver 50 luxury serviced apartments, 200-cover bar and restaurant and retail units.

Lateral City Apartments said the redevelopment, which will be named The Edinburgh Grand, will deliver 50 luxury serviced apartments as well as 200-cover bar and restaurant, retail outlets and a gym. Alongside the serviced apartments, Bon Vivant will operate a coffee house and evening venue.

The development, expected to open next year, is being led by Edinburgh-based property developer and investor, Chris Stewart Group. Lateral City Apartments, part of Edinburgh-based Lateral City Ltd, was set up in 2013 by Chris Stewart Group chief executive Chris Stewart and group finance director Archie Aiton.

Lateral City Ltd is wholly owned by CSG Hotels and Apartments Ltd, which is ultimately owned by Chris Stewart...
