The Bonham Hotel unveils makeover

The Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh has unveiled the results of its recent multi-million pound renovation project.

The hotel’s 49 bedrooms were refurbished last year and now the public areas have also been given a makeover with a new bar and the launch of a new restaurant, No.35 at The Bonham.

The lobby, library and the snug all now boast new looks which showcase many of the building’s original features, such as wood panelling and stained glass windows, plus hand painted ceiling. 

“Old buildings tell us where we came from – both architecturally and socially,” said Bonham owner Richard H. Driehaus. “Preserving their beauty enhances our lives, our environments and respects our heritage. So it is with The Bonham.”

The interiors, by designer Nigel Howard Creative, reference both the architectural heritage of the hotel and the highland hues that are typical of Scotland’s landscapes...
